The family of Hestakot consists of Dísa (the horse person), Kevin (the all-around-handy-man and organizer) and their two young boys, Aron Þór and Kiljan Týr. Part of the family are also Bailey the dog, Kisa the cat and the three Icelandic horses that also serve as teachers.
Herdís Reynisdóttir, often called Dísa, is from Iceland and has worked with Icelandic horses for more than 20years. She is educatated from Hólar Equine University in Iceland as a riding instructor for all levels and a horse-trainer. She also has a B.Sc. degree in Agricultural Science, a teachers diploma and is a licensed International Breeding judge for Icelandic horses.
Dísa travels to various countries to judge and teach and now offers lessons, courses and tours at home, in Hestakot, Co.Clare.
Kevin Moroney works with marketing and webdesigns, app- building and more but also partly as a musician as well as doing anything and everything that is needed around the farm, very handy man indeed to have around! 😉
Aron and Kiljan keep their parents on their toes with various activity. Very happy and fun loving young boys that love company and offer guests to play around with their selection of toys, bikes and more.
